Solar life expectancy

Operation and maintenance costs of solar panels are generally considered quite low - there are no mechanical or moving parts to wear out. Consequently, they have significantly fewer breakages and require less maintenance than other renewable energy systems such as wind.

Our solar panels all come with a 10-year limited product warranty* and a 25-year performance warranty* that guarantees solar panels to produce 75% output at 25 years. It is worth noting that World's first modern solar panel still works after 60 years (inhabitat).

Newnergy's solar inverters come with a 5-year warranty* which guarantees inverters to perform properly at 5 years.

Note: * These Warranties do not cover any damage to the Product that occurs during its shipment, storage, or installation. These Warranties shall be VOID if installation of the Product is not performed in accordance with Newnergy’s written installation instructions, or if the Product has been modified, repaired, or reworked in a manner not previously authorized by Newnergy IN WRITING, or if the Product is installed in an environment for which it was not designed. Newnergy shall not be liable for consequential, contingent or incidental damages arising out of the use of the Product by Purchaser under any circumstances.

Maintenance

Solar systems require only modest amounts of maintenance over their lifetime. Systems must be kept clean, performance monitored, and electrical safety maintained. Newnergy solar systems come with built-in monitoring that allows you, and our technical experts as well, to monitor various performance aspects of your system, including electrical specifications.

Regular rain is usually sufficient to keep the solar PV panels clean. Cleaning may be required depending on the angle (e.g. relatively flat roof), or due to your location (heavy deposits of dust, sand or pollen).

If your roof is less than 10 degrees, Newnergy recommends that panels are cleaned on a regular basis especially during dry spells.
